TI Georgia to host Croatian digital activist Marko Rakar
On Wednesday, 23 March, 2011, Transparency International Georgia will host "Blogs and Politics," a presentation by Croatian blogger and digital activist Marko Rakar on concrete ways that blogs and bloggers can affect politics.
Rakar is Croatia's foremost political blogger, and one of the country's best-known public figures. He is also the founder of Pollitika.com, an online political discussion forum in Croatia that receives hundreds of thousands of visitors every month. Rakar will describe his experience as a blogger in Croatia, and the ways in which blogs have changed national politics there. The presentation will be in English.
This event is made possible by the generous support of Open Society Institute and will be open to the public.
