CSOs Demand Chief Prosecutor’s Resignation

We, the signatory organizations, respond to the murder case of teenagers at Khorava Street and the Georgian Parliament’s decision to set up an interim investigative commission. We suppose that Georgia’s Chief Prosecutor should resign before the interim commission starts working.

Statement by Non-Governmental Organizations on the Case of Salome Tatishvili

We, the undersigned organizations, make this statement in response to the case of Salome Tatishvili who was killed on a ski run in Gudauri on 10 January 2016. As it is commonly known, Salome Tatishvili, 12, was descending the ski run when a young man skiing at high speed crashed into her from behind. As a result of sustained injuries, Salome Tatishvili died on scene. Charges were brought against G. L.

NGO assessment of the judge selection competition

The High Council of Justice has completed the competition to select judges that was announced on October 16, 2017. Our observation revealed that despite several legislative reforms the practice of appointing judges has not improved and continues to have considerable shortcomings.
