Promoting Rule of Law and Protecting Human Rights in Georgia

The overall purpose of the project is to strengthen Georgian justice system, to ensure due process, judicial independence, and the protection of human rights.

TI Georgia’s goal is to engage people and different actors in discussions related to reform of the justice sector in Georgia, as well as strengthening due process and human rights. TI Georgia seeks to promptly provide information on policy initiatives, draft laws and other to the general public, Civil Society Organizations, International Organizations, etc., including comprehensive assessments and evaluations of government initiatives.

TI also provides regular free legal aid through its Advocacy and Legal Aid Centers (ALACs) in Tbilisi, Batumi, Kutaisi and Zugdidi. Legal aid activity will is based on strategic litigation approach and aims to result in changes to the policies, laws, regulations, and the enforcement system.
