The Public official Rusudan Patsatsia failed to declare her real estate, income and her son’s real estate in the asset declaration.
Rusudan Patsatsia, the Deputy Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia did not disclose her income or her and her son’s real estate in the asset declaration submitted in 2024.
Violation I: Patsatsia owns six real estate properties, none of which is reflected in the declaration:
- Zugdidi municipality, village of Ingiri - 5503 sq.m. land plot with 578.3 sq.m. buildings
- Tbilisi, Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, N39 - 139.81 sq.m. apartment
- Tbilisi, Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, N39 - 17 sq.m. garage
- Tbilisi, Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, N7 - 133.75 sq.m. apartment
- Tbilisi. Ilia Chavchavadze Avenue, N7 - 18 sq.m. garage
- Tbilisi, Grigol Peradze Street, N20a - 1199 sq.m. land plot with 469.6 sq.m. buildings
Interestingly, this information was absent from her previous year’s declaration as well.
Violation II: Patsatsia omitted to report information about the salary she received throughout the year while serving as the Head of the Western Europe Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
Additionally, she did not disclose her income in last year’s declaration either.
Violation III: Rusudan Patsatsia concealed information regarding her son Nika Tskarozia's real estate:
- Zugdidi municipality, village of Ingiri - 2300 sq.m. lad plot
- Zugdidi municipality, village of Ingiri - 4907 sq.m. land plot
- Zugdidi municipality, village of Ingiri - 2802 sq.m. land plot.
According to the law of Georgia on fight against corruption, Rusudan Patsatsia, as the Deputy Director of the European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, is obliged to disclose full information in her asset declaration.
Transparency International Georgia calls on the Anti-Corruption Bureau to study the violations revealed in the asset declaration of Rusudan Patsatsia and respond appropriately in accordance with Georgian law.
