Monitoring the Abuse of State Resources and Political Finances in 2013 Presidential and 2014 Local Municipality Elections (OSGF)
The overall goal of this project is to promote free and fair elections and contribute to improved election environment in Georgia.
Specific objectives are to:
- Raise awareness about the abuse of state resources (ASR) in the run-up to the 2013 Presidential and 2014 Local Municipality elections;
- Minimize the abuse of state resources during 2013 Presidential and 2014 Local Municipality elections;
- Increase transparency and accountability of political parties’ campaign spending;
- Improve the understanding of civil society groups and election administration of how to monitor and control the use of state resources and campaign finance (CF);
- Make the government and political parties more accountable to public during elections.
