On December 19, 2012 the Investigations Service of the Ministry of Finance published several secretly recorded phone conversations in connection with the arrest of the General Director of Rustavi 2 and other detained persons. On its official webpage the Investigations Service also published the court warrants that had been granted for the secret wiretapping and recording of telephone conversations conducted by both Giorgi Nemsitsveride and Khakha Danemia.

In the audio content released by the investigations service there also contained records of telephone conversations that had occurred between Nika Gvaramia and Vano Merabishvili and between Devi Kandelaki and Alexandre Khetaguri. However these people were not stipulated in the court warrants that had been posted on the investigations service website.

Transparency International Georgia calls upon the Investigation Service and other state organs involved in this investigation to prove the legality of their actions and to immediately disclose the legal basis upon which the above mentioned wire taps and records were conducted.
