In response to LEPL Anti-Corruption Bureau’s letter No. 00009733 Dated June 16, 2025
We inform you that we have received your letter No. 00009733 of June 16, 2025, which concerns the request for information from N(N)LE “Transparency International - Georgia”, commercial banks, and the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia for the period from January 1, 2024, to June 10, 2025.
Information about the activities, funding, and team of “Transparency International - Georgia” is publicly available on our official website. In accordance with our commitment to transparency, we are sending you the links to the sections of our website where the relevant information is located and offer a brief guide for navigation:
Step #1: Go to our organization’s main website (https://transparency.ge/), navigate to the “About Us” section, where several options will drop down with the names “Our Team”, “Our Board”, “Our Principles”, “Our Funding”, “Our Annual Reports”, “Careers”.
Step #2: If the Anti-Corruption Bureau is interested in obtaining information about our funding, you should click on the “Our Funding” field, which will display information about our grants.
Step #3: If the Anti-Corruption Bureau is interested in obtaining information about our donors, you should click on the “Our Principles” field, where several options will drop down, including “Donation Policy”. By entering this section, you will find information about the organization's donors.
Step #4: If the Anti-Corruption Bureau is interested in obtaining information about the activities carried out by our organization, you should click on the “Our Annual Reports” field, where detailed information about the annual reports of “Transparency International - Georgia” will be listed by year. In these reports, you will find information about the organization’s goals, activities, achieved results, donors, finances, and also conducted audits.

Information on implemented activities and results: The Anti-Corruption Bureau requests information from the organization about the activities carried out and results achieved within the framework of contracts. Given that “Transparency International - Georgia” is an anti-corruption organization, and the direct duty of the Anti-Corruption Bureau is to respond to alleged cases of corruption in the country, we take this opportunity to additionally present information about the alleged corruption facts we have identified over the years. This list compiles 65 alleged corruption cases, featuring 49 former or current officials. These studies have shown that officials have been enriching themselves for years at the expense of state property and the budget. These actions were systemic and had a negative impact on the well-being of hundreds of thousands of our citizens. We request a further response regarding these facts.
Information about social networks: As for social media accounts, our main official representation is on TikTok (https://www.tiktok.com/@transparencyintlge), Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Youtube, and X, which can be accessed from the main page of our website. Any expenses related to our social networks are covered by our operational budget.
Information on the personal data of beneficiaries: Furthermore, we want to inform you that as an organization working on human rights, we are obliged to protect the norms and principles of both domestic legislation and international law, which ensure the secrecy of personal data and the confidentiality of any information exchanged between a lawyer and a client. Specifically, our beneficiaries include persons under the organization's protection, including victims of torture and other ill-treatment, former public officials, and individuals employed in private organizations under labor law who were unlawfully dismissed from public service, landowners whose land plots were illegally seized by the state, persons affected by other serious human rights violations, as well as whistleblowers who expose state bodies and officials for corruption. Transferring the personal data of such individuals and other information reflecting their private and family life to the Bureau would be a gross violation of Article 15 of the Constitution of Georgia, the legislation on personal data, the Criminal Procedure Code, and the Law on Lawyers, as well as other legislative acts that ensure the inviolability of private and family life, the non-disclosure of personal data, and the confidentiality of lawyer-client communication.
We await your response regarding the investigation of the alleged corruption facts provided by us.
